Flying with Profile
The aviation industry is one of the most innovative and has the highest safety requirements worldwide. Special profiles made from highly complex alloys play a crucial role in the construction of a wide variety of components.

Engine components made of nickel-based alloys and other special materials
The mechanical stress on engines is enormous. Only the best materials such as nickel-based alloys and other special materials are used here without compromise.
Only the best materials such as nickel-based alloys and other special materials are used here without compromise.
Our special profiles for the manufacture of engine components are used on the following aircraft and helicopter types:
-
GE90 (Boeing 777)
-
GP7200 (Airbus A380)
-
Leap 1A (Airbus A320neo)
-
CFM56-7 (Boeing 737)
-
PW 1100G (Airbus A319 / A320 / A321neo)
-
Adour (BAE Hawk / SEPECAT Jaguar / Mitsubishi F-1 / Mitsubishi F-2)
Application examples:
-
Special profiles for the production of butt-welded and machined static turbine rings
-
Special profiles for the production of static engine guide vanes

Structural components made of special material
Meeting extreme loads with low weight at the same time is a particularly tricky challenge that Kadant Profil is happy to take on. The key lies in geometries and alloys specially developed for aviation, such as titanium steel and other special materials. This creates special profiles with unique properties for the production of seat rails, which are used to fasten containers in cargo aircraft, special profiles for the production of guide rails for landing flaps and sealing profiles for loading hatches.
Our special profiles for structural components are installed in the following aircraft types, among others:
-
Airbus A320 & A321
-
Airbus A300-600F
-
Airbus A330-200F
Application examples:
-
Special profiles for the production of seat rails used to secure containers in cargo aircraft (Airbus Part No. A537-74604-200-00)
-
Special profiles for the production of landing flap guide rails
-
Sealing profiles for hatches
